We are excited to expand our network of serviced business centres in Jordan with the opening of these two new facilities in Amman,” says Katerina Manou, IWG Regional Vice President
The workplace is being fast-tracked into the future, thanks to the rapid development of technology and the arrival of Gen Flex, an ever-expanding pool of digital nomads who are challenging the fundamental assumptions about employment.
Nowhere is this changing work landscape more true than in Jordan, where recent amendments to labour laws have seen the introduction of a flexible working system for the public sector, allowing for part-time and remote working, as well as giving employees the flexibility to choose their hours.
In-keeping with this new flexible working culture, Regus – the world’s largest workspace provider – has announced the opening of two business centres in the Jordanian capital of Amman, bringing the number of its office locations in the Middle Eastern country to five.
The most recent centre to throw open its doors in the city is Regus Amman Gate, situated to the west of Downtown Amman. Here, members will have access to 31 light-filled contemporary offices and meeting rooms, as well as 79 workspaces and a conference room, overlooking the 7th Circle, also known as Prince Talal bin Muhammad Square.
The centre has location on its side, thanks to its proximity to public transport links and the Queen Alia International Airport, with the Airport Express bus stopping at the 7th Circle. The Al Wakalat Street pedestrianised shopping zone in the Sweifieh district is a 15-minute walk away, while there are plenty of cafés, restaurants and hotels on the doorstep too.
The second Regus centre, set to open in July, is equally well-situated, in Armada Tower in the Saqra Complex A on Arar Street. Set in the city centre, on the edge of the embassy and business district, it’s moments from local amenities, as well as cultural attractions including the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts and the Foresight32 Art Gallery.
While the Tower’s exterior, with its corner turret and high stone arches, is classical in design, inside the Regus hub is a lesson in contemporary décor. Spread across two floors, members will have access to all manner of workspace arrangements with 40 private offices, bookable meeting rooms and collaborative lounges with 129 workspaces.
High-speed Wi-Fi comes as standard at both new locations, as does a friendly and efficient staff on hand to support members in everything from administrative queries to call-handling services.
With three business centres already in existence (Amman, Abdali Boulevard; Amman ShMeisani; and Amman, Gardens), the expanding Regus Jordan portfolio hopes to attract the country’s new wave of flexible workers, but also the growing number of entrepreneurs and start-ups, especially in the technology sector.
Jordan is also making strides to attract foreign investors. Indeed the economy is, according to financial information services Fitch, expected to reach 2.13% in 2019-2020, up from 1.9% last year.
Regus’s flexible workspaces will allow multinationals and corporates to enter the Jordanian market without committing to traditional long-term leases, and with no set-up costs, capital investment or property management.
“We are excited to expand our network of serviced business centres in Jordan with the opening of these two new facilities in Amman,” says Katerina Manou, IWG Regional Vice President. “The new centres will help meet the growing demand for flexible workspaces, as more businesses realise the benefits of greater flexibility, agility and choice of location for their employees.”
