IWG launches second Regus franchise in Trinidad and Tobago

A Regus Centre has opened in San Fernando, the Caribbean nation’s second-busiest city, as a franchise partnership

IWG – the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace – has opened its second location in Trinidad and Tobago under its Regus brand, as part of its franchise programme.

Regus Gulf City has opened its doors in San Fernando, the Caribbean nation’s second-most populated city, as demand for flexible office space in the area has surged in recent years. A new collaboration between IWG and franchise partner Williams Offices (Caribbean) Ltd, the new flexspace is targeted towards businesspeople who want to avoid commuting to the capital, Port of Spain.

General Manager for Regus, Trinidad and Tobago, Stephanie Quesnel, says: “The centre offers a solution for people spending countless, precious hours commuting into Port of Spain. Companies will now have the option to take a world-class office space to not only boost productivity, but to improve the work-life balance of their staff.”

Housed in the Gulf City retail complex, Regus Gulf City enjoys a prime location amid San Fernando’s bustling Gulf View business district. The new centre offers contemporary meeting rooms, business lounge, coworking facilities and 39 private offices for business of all sizes.

The Regus Centre also offers a virtual office service, where companies can have business calls answered, and their mail forwarded on from the Regus Centre. The idea is to help businesses cultivate a professional image to their clients and partners, by using the centre as their business address.

Two years ago, IWG opened its first Regus Centre in Trinidad & Tobago as a franchise partnership with Williams Offices in Port of Spain’s Invader’s Bay area. In this short time, the centre’s community of tenants has flourished.

Quesnel added: "Since opening in 2017, a dynamic community has been built at the Regus centre at Invader’s Bay with a diverse mix of clients from multinational corporations to startups and consultants. I look forward to seeing a similar community develop at Gulf City. With an abundance of parking and amenities close at hand, the Regus centre can become a one-stop shop for businesses in the South.”

Mark Linehan, Managing Director, of the Regus franchise in the Caribbean echoed this. “The world of work is changing,” he said. “People and businesses are using flexible working and different workspaces more than ever. With the opening of Regus Gulf City, San Fernando now has world-class business centre that lets businesses choose flexible working. We are very excited about bringing our dynamic brand of workspaces to the South, and plan to further expand our footprint across the region overtime.

IWG’s Regus franchise partnership with Williams Offices (Caribbean) Ltd has led to the launch of four Regus Centres across Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, with another coming soon to Guyana.
